I have lived in Northern Colorado for most of my life. My husband Nate and I have a blended family with four kids. I led a divorce recovery group through Christ Community Church which inspired me to get my master’s and change careers. During my internship, I worked in Grief and Loss Counseling at a Hospice facility assisting individuals, couples, families, and groups in their grief process. Over the years, I have counseled many teenagers, college students, and adults from diverse backgrounds. As the owner of EnCourage Counseling since April of 2020, my main priority is provide excellent client care to all who walk through our doors.
I consider myself eclectic in my theoretical approach and often utilize Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work. The therapy I provide is intended to be short-term, goal-oriented, and positive. I work to help people become aware of negative thoughts, and behavioral patterns. We will work to develop positive ways of thinking to reduce mental blocks and challenges and work toward a more positive way of living.
I am a Christian counselor who uses a supportive, encouraging, and direct approach. I will walk alongside you as we work to discover and overcome the challenges in your life that are robbing you of your joy. Some of my clients prefer Christian Counseling. Some do not. I cater the counseling experience to the desires and needs of my clients.
